Our mission is to collect, preserve, interpret and share the history of Reno County, Kansas to inspire awareness and appreciation of the past and present for future generations.
The Houston Whiteside Conference Room, operated by the Reno County Museum in Hutchinson, offers couples an elegant historic setting for celebrations. Located within two adjoining historic buildings at the corner of Avenue A and Walnut—the Great American Life Insurance Building (Kline Building) built in 1917 and the Rosemont Apartment building from 1913—the venue provides a distinctive alternative to conventional event spaces. The museum’s mission centers on preserving and interpreting Reno County’s history, giving couples an opportunity to celebrate within spaces rich with community heritage and architectural character.
