Creative Road Studio was founded by Ann and Steven Hertzog, who relocated to Lawrence in 2006 after two decades working in the Los Angeles motion picture industry. Steven brings a background as an editor, producer, and creative director at major studios, while Ann worked as vice president of motion picture advertising at Universal Pictures. Their combined experience in visual storytelling and advertising campaigns shapes their approach to photography across weddings, commercial work, school portraits, and family sessions.
The studio leverages that film industry expertise to create portraits with a professional polish and memorable compositions. Their approach emphasizes bringing out the best in subjects through direction and lighting techniques honed across Hollywood productions, making them a distinctive choice for couples in the Lawrence area looking for photography with a cinematic sensibility.
