Brickstreet Barbecue was founded in 2023 by Fort Scott locals Alex and Carissa Bowman, who built the restaurant around on-site, hickory-smoked meats. The team takes pride in developing distinctive rubs and sauces, aiming to bring unique flavor combinations to the Fort Scott area’s barbecue scene.

The business runs on a short list of stated values: producing the highest-quality food, providing hospitality that exceeds expectations, and keeping a safe, clean kitchen, all approached with a solution-focused, positive attitude. Beyond dine-in service and delivery through DoorDash, Brickstreet handles catering orders by phone or email, making its smoked meats available for events during regular operating hours.
