Founded in 2024 by pit master Grant Davenport, Boombox BBQ Food Truck brings a hip-hop spin to traditional wood-smoked barbecue in Topeka. Grant built the concept around three things he loves — boomboxes, barbecue, and hip hop music — after years of encouragement from friends and family to open a barbecue business, and he’s spent years honing his technique for smoking beef, pork, chicken, and turkey.

The food truck brings its catering to homes, offices, and event spaces around Topeka, handling the smoked meats and sides so hosts can focus on their guests. The business has also picked up local recognition, including a Platinum Award for BBQ in the 2025 Topeka Community Votes, a nod couples comparing catering options for a Topeka wedding may find reassuring.
