1861 Club

The 1861 Club sits on the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson and hosts fair-season events before opening for private rentals the rest of the year. Its current site calls it a wedding and event venue and lists flexible wedding setups for up to 350 guests at round tables, a main event room, two smaller conference rooms, a catering kitchen, and bar-service options. Its own page gives the location as 2000 N. Poplar St., Hutchinson, which differs from the street address on file for this listing (212 Cottonwood Ave); both are on the fairgrounds property, and the discrepancy is unresolved.

Proceeds from rentals and fair-season events fund renovation and preservation work on the fairgrounds through the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation. Ask which tables-and-floor-plan setup fits your reception, whether food or bar service is exclusive, which items are included, and which street address to use. Inquiries go through the listed phone or email, or a “Request A Quote” contact form.
