The Workroom

The Workroom stands as a distinctive downtown Wichita boutique and creative marketplace designed to celebrate local artistry and entrepreneurship. Founded by visionary Janelle King, the venue features work from over 100 local artists and makers, offering couples a unique shopping destination for wedding flowers, decor, gifts, and custom design services. The curated collections emphasize locally-made goods, from handpicked home decor and artisan art to distinctive FlagSwag items and specialty foods. Beyond retail, the space hosts Bubbles Champagne Bar, where couples and wedding parties can enjoy craft beverages while exploring the marketplace.

The Workroom’s design philosophy creates an inviting environment for discovering unique wedding treasures. The Ballroom Collective showcases 12 individual entrepreneurs within one open layout, each offering specialized goods and services. The integrated champagne bar adds social dimension to shopping, allowing couples to celebrate their planning with favorite beverages. Custom sewing and upholstery services expand capabilities for personalized wedding decor and furnishings. Located in the heart of downtown Wichita, The Workroom offers couples an alternative to chain retailers—a locally-rooted destination where wedding planning becomes an experience of discovery and community connection.
