Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper

Prairie Rose Ranch, located on Parallel Street near Benton, is owned by the Johnson family—Greg, JW, and son Colton—who share a deep commitment to preserving the spirit of the American West. Originally known for hosting chuckwagon suppers, the ranch has evolved to present a variety of live music concerts in association with Trucker’s Radio USA, making it a unique entertainment venue for celebrations and special events. The property attracts visitors from across the Wichita area and beyond, and the family actively supports charitable causes including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and other Kansas-based organizations.

Concerts typically run from 7:00 p.m. to before 9:00 p.m., with optional catered meals (brisket or pulled pork dinners at $16 plus tax) available from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The on-site Flavors Coffee & Ice Cream booth adds to the experience. Couples interested in hosting celebrations with live music should contact the ranch directly for event coordination and current programming.
