Merriam Community Center is a city-operated recreation and event facility at 6040 Slater St in Merriam. Its website lists meeting rooms with space for up to 250 people, along with classrooms, a gymnasium, and indoor and outdoor pools; a catering kitchen is listed among the amenities. The site does not use the word “wedding” or describe a wedding package; it describes general event and meeting-room rental.

The site does not state an indoor/outdoor breakdown for events, a weather backup plan, an alcohol policy, accessibility features, or rental pricing. Rental inquiries go through the center’s general contact information.

Ask whether the meeting-room space is suitable and available for a wedding reception, what catering and alcohol rules apply, and what the current rental rate is.
