Marvin Auditorium

Marvin Auditorium is a meeting and event room inside the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library’s downtown Topeka building. The library’s meeting-rooms page describes it as one of several bookable spaces with a sound system, multiple microphones and a projection screen, but it does not use the word “wedding” or describe a wedding package.

Outside food and drink are restricted: the library states that “no other vendors or private individuals are permitted to bring food or drink into meeting rooms” apart from its authorized café vendor. Nonprofit and public groups can use meeting rooms at no charge; for-profit users pay an unspecified rental fee. Adaptive listening devices are available in each room. Ask the library’s events coordinator whether Marvin Auditorium can be rented for a private wedding ceremony or reception, what capacity and layout it allows, and what the for-profit rental fee is.
