Hy-Vee Pickup refers to the catering and grocery pickup service at the Manhattan Hy-Vee, the first store the chain opened in the city, back in August 2009 near Bluemont Avenue and Tuttle Creek Boulevard. The store runs daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas), with a kitchen department set up to handle catering for occasions casual and formal alike.

Rather than working with a dedicated wedding caterer, couples using this option order through Hy-Vee’s kitchen and can add online grocery pickup or delivery for anything else the event needs, from beverages to last-minute supplies. It’s a practical, budget-conscious route for engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, or smaller receptions in Manhattan that don’t call for a full-service catering team.

3 Is the service charge a gratuity, or is tipping separate?
