Danforth Chapel, dedicated in 1946 on the University of Kansas campus, was made possible by a grant from the Danforth Foundation and contributions of students and faculty labor. Built as a sanctuary for meditation and prayer, the nondenominational chapel welcomes weddings alongside its role as a quiet retreat space. The building remains accessible to the public during events, maintaining its purpose as a shared community resource for generations to come.

The chapel operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and accommodates ceremonies within those hours. Couples book through the KU Memorial Union Event Services office, and a building manager is required to be onsite during events. The classical setting provides a traditional backdrop for Lawrence-area couples seeking a meaningful, university-connected venue.
