Cedar Lawn Farm centers on an 1889 barn that sat on a working Kansas farm for generations before being restored into an event space in the rolling hills southwest of Topeka. The renovation began in September 2022 and took roughly fifteen months, with a crew replacing weathered planks board by board and pairing them with locally quarried limestone and handcrafted, artisan-sourced décor; the venue welcomed its first wedding reservation in early 2024. Original wood, a vaulted ceiling, and wrought-iron chandeliers give the barn a rustic-elegant feel indoors, while grand double doors open onto a limestone-framed patio and a pasture ceremony site.
The farmhouse itself has an unusual backstory: it arrived by railcar in crates from a Sears catalog order and became the heart of the family farm that eventually grew into Cedar Lawn Farm. Couples can choose an hourly rental for smaller gatherings or book the entire property for a full weekend with exclusive access.
