Cavalier Field is a City of Dodge City-owned athletic complex in Ford County, restored in 1998 after decades as the ballpark for the former St. Mary of the Plains College team. The roughly $500,000 renovation, funded through the Why Not Dodge sales tax program alongside a $50,000 partnership with Dodge City Community College, added a new backstop, outfield fencing, dugouts, field lights, and seating, turning a rundown lot into a first-class ball facility. Today it’s home turf for the DCCC Conquistadors and the Dodge City A’s, and it also sees regular use from local youth and adult leagues and traveling tournaments.
