Bales Organ Recital Hall

Bales Organ Recital Hall is a University of Kansas School of Music facility, described on its website as “a teaching space and secondarily a concert space” according to James Higdon, director of organ and church music. The page describes the building’s architecture (72-foot-high, walls two feet thick) and stained-glass windows, and does not use the word “wedding” or describe any general event-rental or private-booking process.

The page gives no seating-capacity figure, no accessibility information, and no instructions for renting the hall; it lists only general department contact information. Source-review status for wedding services remains pending.

Ask the KU School of Music’s organ and church music division directly whether the hall can be rented for a private event such as a wedding ceremony, and for capacity and terms if so.
