Abe & Jake’s Landing occupies a converted industrial building in downtown Lawrence that once housed the Consolidated Barbed Wire Company, and the venue has kept much of that history visible in its finished wood, natural stone, and exposed industrial beams. Fifteen-foot windows in the main space look out over the Kansas River, giving the room natural light and a scenic backdrop that’s rare for a historic downtown building.

The venue is built to handle a full wedding day in one location: a main event space with a stage, dance floor, and custom bar; a secondary space with its own stage and fireplace for a smaller ceremony or cocktail hour; two large private suites for the wedding party to get ready; and a private patio overlooking the river. A catering kitchen, customizable layouts, and in-house decor and linen rental options round out the offering, along with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment for toasts, speeches, or a live band.
