Kansas Wedding Venue Costs: Published Rental Examples

By WeddingInKansas Team

There is no verified statewide Kansas venue average in this guide. These are published prices from three operators, useful for understanding how a room rate differs from a complete event cost. Availability, tax, deposits, food, alcohol, staffing, and required rentals can change the final figure.

VenuePublished priceWhat that price is tied toWhat the source does not settle
Union Pacific Depot$90/hour; 3-hour minimumWhole Lawrence facility; rooms reserve togetherWedding use, food/bar rules, tax, deposits
Carnegie Building$100/hour; 3-hour minimumWhole Lawrence facility; galleries included with Heritage RoomWedding use, food/bar rules, tax, deposits
Tumblweed LLC$500 Chapel; $3,500 Augustine Fri–SunSalina venue’s posted room ratesChapel layout, catering/alcohol, staffing, tax, deposits

Read the scope before comparing

The Depot’s published minimum is $270 and Carnegie’s is $300, but neither city page describes a wedding package. Tumblweed explicitly lists weddings, and its Augustine rate includes tables, chairs, lounge access, and bar-area access; its Chapel page posts a $500 rate and 200 seats without saying whether that is a reception layout. Those facts make the figures useful starting points, not interchangeable total-cost quotes.

Questions that turn a rate into a total

Ask for the total cost for your date, guest count, event hours, and layout. Have the venue identify every included furnishing and service, required vendor, food-and-beverage minimum, overtime rule, deposit, tax, and cleanup charge. If an outdoor space is involved, ask whether an indoor backup is reserved or priced separately.
