Kansas Wedding Cake Costs: Published Serving-Price Examples
Wedding-cake pricing is often stated per serving, but fillings, design, delivery, and a minimum order can change the final proposal. These are current published examples from Kansas bakeries, not a statewide per-serving range.
Two Kansas price bases
Take the Cake bakes from Leawood and lists round tiered cakes from $6.50 per serving and square tiers from $7.50 per serving. Its page also lists mousse filling from $0.30 per serving, Kansas City metro delivery of $50–$75, and a 10% deposit to guarantee the date. The bakery says its cakes have three layers per tier and fresh mousse filling; confirm the size chart, final design charge, tax, and delivery location in writing.
Artistic Cakes in Wichita publishes a $15 consultation that is credited if you book. It lists delivery from $75 Monday–Saturday and $95 Sunday within 30 miles, with $2 per mile beyond that radius. It describes wedding cakes as custom and does not publish a per-serving wedding-cake price, so it is a delivery-and-consultation comparison rather than a substitute for the Leawood cake rate.
Ask for a quote that can be compared
Give each bakery the guest count to be served, whether the display cake must serve everyone, design reference, flavors and fillings, dietary needs, venue address, delivery window, setup needs, and any stand or cutting-service requirement. Ask the baker to state the servings covered by the finished design; the price of extra kitchen cake, cupcakes, or other desserts; delivery and setup; tax; deposit; and final-payment deadline. That separates a base cake price from the full dessert plan.
