Kansas Wedding Signature Drinks: Build a Simple Bar Menu
A signature-drink menu should be easy to order, serve, and understand. Choose one or two drinks with ingredients the bar team approves, then create an equally intentional nonalcoholic option. Keep the names personal: a shared town, pet, hobby, or favorite trip is more memorable than a generic regional pun.
Use a simple menu structure
| Menu line | Planning choice |
|---|---|
| Bright drink | citrus, herbs, or sparkling element |
| Spirit-forward drink | a shorter, stirred or built option |
| Zero-proof drink | a named option with the same visual care |
| Standard bar | familiar beer, wine, and nonalcoholic choices if offered |
Choose flavors you already enjoy and limit custom ingredients. A drink that needs a complicated garnish, a rare bottle, or a different recipe at every bar can slow service.
Work with the bar agreement
Ask the venue or licensed bar team whether outside products, custom garnishes, glassware, signage, and named drinks are permitted. Provide the final recipe, expected service window, and guest count only after the provider asks for them. The venue and bar team determine what they can safely stock and serve.
Name and display
Use large, plain text: drink name, base ingredients, and whether it is zero-proof. Put the sign where guests order, not only at a welcome table. A brief “contains [key ingredient]” note is more useful than decorative copy.
