How to Choose a Kansas Wedding Florist

By WeddingInKansas Team

Choose a florist by the work you need them to do, not only by the style of a bouquet photo. A pickup order for personal flowers and a full-service installation can involve different design, delivery, rental, and teardown responsibilities.

Match the florist’s service level to your day

Make a short floral brief before contacting anyone: venue spaces, ceremony backdrop, guest-table count, personal flowers, color palette, preferred and avoided flowers, photos that show scale, delivery address, setup needs, and maximum spend. Ask whether the florist offers pickup, delivery, setup, repurposing between rooms, teardown, and rental items.

Limestone Floral in Wichita lists full-service weddings from $4,500 and describes bouquets and boutonnieres, ceremony and reception arrangements, installations, and rentals. Its page says delivery, setup, and tear-down are included for its full-service weddings. It also says smaller à la carte pickup orders have limited customization and asks couples to inquire about availability and minimums. That is a useful distinction to make with any florist: confirm the service level behind a starting price.

Ask for an itemized design plan

Request a proposal that separates personal flowers, ceremony pieces, reception arrangements, candles or vessels, delivery, setup, teardown, rentals, tax, and any transfer or reuse plan. Ask what substitutions may be made if a requested flower is unavailable and whether the florist will tell you before changing a focal flower or color.

Compare proposals with the same quantities. If the first plan is above budget, ask for two alternatives: one that preserves the ceremony focal point and one that preserves the reception-table plan. This creates a real decision about priorities instead of an arbitrary cut to “flowers.”

Limestone’s stated starting price and service scope were retrieved September 13, 2026. Confirm the current proposal, date availability, and exact inclusions directly with the florist.
