The Jayhawk Club — Lawrence

The Jayhawk Club’s weddings page says every reception includes up to four hours of event space, setup access, setup/teardown/cleaning, banquet tables and chairs, china, serviceware, glassware, an event manager, serving staff, bartenders, and a food tasting for four. It does not give a capacity or package price, so the list supports an inclusion comparison, not an all-inclusive price claim.

Ask: Which food and bar minimums, ceremony services, taxes, and overtime charges are outside the listed reception inclusions?

Circle S Ranch & Country Inn — Lawrence

Circle S Ranch markets weddings with indoor and outdoor ceremony sites and a Party Barn reception space. Its published rental information lists benches, a head table, round tables, Chiavari chairs, linens, and setup; some packages also include the inn’s 12 rooms. The venue does not call these packages all-inclusive, and the source needs a date-specific proposal to establish catering, bar, and final package scope.

Make the comparison usable

Ask each venue to place every included item, required purchase, and optional upgrade in one proposal. Compare the same guest count and event hours, then add food, beverage, tax, gratuity, and lodging before deciding which package costs less.
